Spotlight on Women in Business: Betty Herbert – Rodan + Fields Skin Care Review

I had the pleasure of reviewing two of the Rodan + Fields skin care lines from my friend and consultant Betty Herbert.  Betty was kind enough to send me two kits:  Redefine and Redefine AMP MD.  These are the two kits that she recommended for my particular skin type and issues.

I have had a acne problem for years and I have tried everything on the market and continue to try every new product that comes out.  I’ve been to more dermatologist in my lifetime than most people visit their doctor when they are sick.  My parents both had skin issues so I got slammed from both sides of the family.  I’ve tried over the years prescription drugs for acne, pills, creams, gels you name it and nothing seems to cure it for good.  I guess it’s in my genes and there isn’t much I can do but keep my skin as clean as possible with a good regimen and control the acne as best I can. The over the counter type cleansers do nothing for me.  I have consulted with doctors, estheticians, holistic practitioners and tried every possible thing they have suggested.  Whatever I use seems to be a temporary fix but nothing (including prescription medication) has a lasting effect on my skin. My biggest issues is clogged pores.

Do you know all the health benefits of Macha Tea?

While watching the Dr. Oz show today I was enlightened about all the health benefits of drinking Macha Tea.  I had heard about the tea before but never really paid much attention to it until now.  Try to invest in an “organic matcha” to avoid destroying any of the health benefits from the chemical pesticides that other teas are sprayed with during the growing process.  It’s such a small investment to improve your health so give it a try.  I am going to order today.  I found a few brands that have great reviews (below) so just click on the brand and it will take you right to place your order.

You may also want to invest in a Matcha Tea wisk it is necessary to get the best result from your loose tea. See below for inexpensive ones you can purchase.

Here are the health benefits that Matcha Tea is supposed to provide:

1. High in Antioxidants
2. Loaded with Catechin, EGCg
3. Enhances Calm (boy do I need this)
4. Boosts Memory and Concentration (boy do I need this too)
5. Increases Energy Levels and Endurance
6. Burns Calories
7. Detoxifies the Body
8. Fortifies the Immune System
9. Improves Cholesterol

How to make Matcha Tea in a cup! (Watch this video)

STEP ONE: Heat spring or filtered water to 175-180 degrees this is important you don’t want the water too too hot.
STEP TWO: Add a few drops of hot water to matcha powder and mix into paste with a matcha wisk.
STEP THREE: Add more hot water to paste mixture and stir. Try 1 teaspoon to 6 ounces of water. Adjust measurement to suit taste.
STEP FOUR: Matcha is ready to drink

Silicone Brush Cleaners – set of 2 for only $5.01

I’ll bet you rarely, if ever, think to clean your makeup brushes – well I’m here to tell you there is nasty stuff hiding in them if you don’t!  You should be properly cleansing your makeup brushes on a weekly basis if you wear makeup daily.  Dirt and oils accumulate in the brushes along with dead skin cells to make a toxic combination of harmful bacteria.  These amazing little silicone brush cleaners will help you properly clean your makeup brushes.  I own them myself and they really are worth the investment!

Just be sure to clean the silicone with warm water and antibacterial soap.

You get two for the low price of $5.01 and they ship free.  Make the investment, you won’t be sorry!
