I received the Conair Extreme Steam Fabric Steamer model GS39 for review and I was super anxious to give it a try.
I am probably one of the few people on earth today that still irons clothing. It’s not my favorite thing to do but with clothing manufacturers getting back to using natural fiber materials like cotton it’s almost impossible to get away with NOT ironing these items.
I’ve always preferred steaming verses flat ironing as I feel steamers do a much better job of getting out deep wrinkles and making sharp creases in pants.
However most steamers tend to spit and leave large water spots (and some times calcium deposits) on your clothing. This steamer features an anti-calcification filter that lets you use regular tap water.
Over the years I’ve tried several brands of steamers and always wind up trashing them for the reason’s I’ve mentions above.
This steamer has two heat settings (high and low) which range from 140-160 degrees, 1250 watts of power.
An easy to fill removable illuminated water reservoir with lock plate makes for easy fill ups.
The handy 3-in-1 attachment includes a Creaser, Bonnet and Silicone Band for fast, professional results.
It’s great for steam cleaning items you can’t use a traditional iron on like, curtains, bedspreads, mattresses, fabric furniture, and much more. There are such benefits to steaming your mattress on a regular basis (dust mites, etc.) as well as your fabric furniture that tends to attract odors. Steam cleaning will remove the stale odors from fabric furniture.
I wanted to put the Conair Extreme Steam Fabric Steamer to the test so I found the most wrinkled item I could find in my ironing pile and fired up the steamer and the results were amazing.
I also used it on my husband’s favorite recliner – not fond of using those chemical sprays to freshen it up so this was a welcome alternative.
Check out my video below for the results and see for yourself!
What a great gift for someone who has difficulty with their hands like myself. Arthritis and Fibromyalgia suffers would welcome this little wonder to help in their weekly ironing routine. Some weeks my hands are so bad I can hardly dress myself let alone iron a garment. I’m loving my new fabric steamer.
The Conair Extreme Steam Fabric Steamer model GS39 is priced at $39.99 at most retails stores. However I have found the best price for you at the link below!
