I had the pleasure of testing recently the new Copper Chef 12″ Grill and Griddle Set.  As with all my Copper Chef product this one did not disappoint.  I know many people have read negative reviews on the internet about the Copper Chef products but I honestly can tell you I have not experienced any of these issues with the ones that I have received.  Many bloggers will lie but I will never lie about a product I’ve received.  If it doesn’t live up to the hype I tell you.

That being said, I know based on some of the comments I’ve gotten on my Youtube channel, that many of you are not “seasoning” your Copper Chef items before the first use or after you put them through a dishwasher cycle (which may cause some sticking issues with the product.) The company is now suggesting in the instructions that you “season” your pans before using them. I do not recommend that you put your Copper Chef items through the dishwasher – there is no need.  They are so easy to clean that it literally takes about 2 minutes to clean each of them.  I use one of my Copper Chef items every day of the week and I’m not just say this.  I used my pans constantly and have yet had a sticking issue.

If you are not familiar with how to “season” a pan watch my video below I explain how it is done.

I used my new Copper Chef Grill Pan to make veggies the other night and they were delicious. I just brushed them with a little olive oil and sprinkled season salt on them and that was all they needed. This was so much easier than dragging everything out side and starting up our gas BBQ to grill the veggies.

No oil or butter is needed to use your Copper Chef grill or griddle pan but the instructions suggest if you are going to use oil that you use an oil with a “high smoke point” like olive, peanut, or corn oils.  However, they DO NOT recommend you use any type of cooking oil sprays as they cannot withstand the heating and will leave a think carbonized layer on the non-stick coating.
