Father’s Day Gift Guide: Stylish Dad’s Who Love To Cook!

My husband loves to cook and he’s darn good at it I must say so myself.  Growing up in an Italian household (both of us) the Mom in the house was responsible for 99% of the cooking.  My dad never cooked a thing until after my Mom passed away and that consisted of opening a can of soup or making a frozen dinner.  So when my husband offered to take over the cooking chore for holiday dinners several years ago I gladly relinquished that chore.  I was so busy preparing other things before my family members arrived that cooking was the last thing I wanted to do after all that running around and prep work.

For years I racked my brain on what to buy my husband for Father’s Day.  He didn’t need another tie, or dress shirt or even a new suit so I set out to find some other more enjoyable (for him) items to purchase every Father’s Day.

He never asked for anything in particular but his love of cooking gave me the idea to start buying him cooking gear.  Whether it be for indoor or outdoor cooking he really loved getting new gadgets and utensils to make cooking easier.

One year we purchased him new cookware for the BBQ – exclusively for his BBQ so that he would stop stealing mine from the kitchen.  The 11-piece Farberware Hard Anodized Ceramic CopperSlide Cookware was the perfect set.

Since my husband is not really into fashion it was always my responsibly to keep him styled with up to date fashions.  Now he doesn’t have the opportunity to wear what I call “dress clothes” very often as he wears a uniform to work each day.  I have purchased him many pairs of shoes from the Lugz website and her really likes the styles.  So when I noticed they had a line of casual wear I decided it was time to order some for him.

Since he loves to cook so much I decided to treat him to a gift of Laconiko Greek Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and White Balsamic Vinegar.  These products comes from the sandy beaches of the Southern Peloponnese, outside of Sparta, Greece.  Dino and Diamandis are fourth-generation extra-virgin olive oil producers.

My husband loves to snack.  So a combination gift basket with lot’s of snacks and wine would do the trick for Father’s Day.  I like the wide selection that I found at Gift Tree.  Their beautiful combination baskets consist of things like imported chocolates, seasonal nuts and fruits, wines, campaigns, candies and more.  Pick the one that fits your man best with a wide variety of options.  I chose the “5th Avenue Grand” for my husband.  I felt it fit his personality well.

  1. I think tools are also a great gift for fathers, especially if they are fond of trying DIY projects around the home. Most projects don’t require any special talent, they just require the right tools for the job.
