I have the most stubborn hair on the planet. It has a mind of it’s own and for years I have tried every styling product and every styling appliance to get curls – nothing works. I have a closet full of assorted brands and sizes of curling irons and even though they may work for some they don’t work well for me. Any time I wanted to get a little curl into my hair I would always go back to my tried and true 20+ year old (and I’m not joking about the age of this hot curler set) hot rollers. This thing is ancient but it still works and I still rely on it in a pinch.
So when the folks at Remington asked if I would give their new Pro Series Thermaluxe Hair Setter a try I was more than happy to oblige.
My old hot curlers – remember these?
The new Remington Pro Series Thermaluxe Hair Setter!
The setter heated up quickly, in approximately 90 seconds – that was fast. My old setter took really long to reach the correct temperature.
As you can see the design of this Remington Pro Series Thermaluxe Hair Setter is much different than my old hot curlers. The base has a new sleek design that takes up less room than my old setter. It contains 20 ceramic heated rollers with clips, 12 large (1¼”) and 8 medium (1”) rollers, enough to create a whole head of curls in no time. The setter has “dual heating technology” which allows clips to heat as well. Heated clips allow heat to penetrate the hair from the outside while the roller heats hair from the inside. This technology provides maximum heat transfer onto the hair and sets the curl faster and holds it longer. Curlers will retain their heat for approximately fifteen (15) minutes after leaving the base. As a bonus included in the box was a set of three (3) hair clips.
What is Thermaluxe?
This advanced thermal technology optimizes heat levels to prevent damage and quickly deliver a 24-hour hairstyle for your 24/7 lifestyle!
