Shark Rocket HV300 Review

I don’t know about you guys, but I hate to drag out my big vacuum for just a small job like picking up crumbs off the kitchen floor. Now I now have a solution – the Shark Rocket HV300!

I am a huge fan of the Shark Euro-Pro products, have been for years. I personally own eight Shark Euro-Pro products, two of which they no longer make and I will cry when these two leave me. One is a small canister vacuum that we use for everything from vacuuming out our cars to cleaning up sawdust in the garage. The other is a clothing steamer (looks like an iron but it is actually just a steamer). See photos below.

Don’t get me wrong, I adore my Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away Vacuum. It is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned in 35 years of marriage. I gave away my two very expensive Oreck vacuums because they were such a disappointment; I realized what a poor job they were doing of lifting dirt and dust from my carpets. The first time I used my Shark Rotator I nearly died when I saw how full the dust compartment was – yuck! It was just gross to think my family was subjected to all that filth for such a long time.

Thrilled to Review the Shark Rocket HV300So when the folks at Shark asked me to test their new Shark Rocket, I was thrilled. I knew even before it arrived that it would be a marvelous machine. I have the utmost faith in the Shark Euro-Pro company and I knew that the Rocket would be no exception.

Shark Rocket vs. Dyson

This little guy does the job of a full-sized vacuum and more. Complete with lots of attachments for any cleaning job, the Rocket is powerful and convenient. Similar vacuums sell for double the price, but why pay more for a product just for the name??? That’s the trap I fell into when I bought those Oreck products.

The Shark Rocket is great on hard floors! The Shark Rocket HV300 has 500 watts of power and two settings, one for bare floors and one for carpets. Your Rocket comes complete with a dusting brush, pet/upholstery tool, crevice tool and a dust-away attachment with one pad. The dust-away attachment is great for hard floor surfaces; it vacuums and picks up fine dirt in one easy step. The pad is machine washable to use over and over again, or you have the option of attaching your favorite brand of disposable wiping pad.

This little beauty comes with a handy wall mount that allows you to hang you Shark Rocket vacuum on any wall surface for convenient storage and easy access. No need to buy expensive filters, it’s got removable, washable filters (it’s recommended that you clean the filters once per month to prevent loss of suction power).

The Shark Euro-Pro family is so confident in this machine that your Shark Rocket comes with a 5 year limited warranty – what company gives you a 5 year warranty on a vacuum? None that I am aware of. Most give you a 90 day warranty at best.

Additional accessories are available for purchase online.

Update from Rosey: The Shark Rocket HV300 is no longer available on Shark’s website, but you can still get plenty of other quality Rocket vacuums by Shark.

  1. Wow Rosey!! This sure sounds like a great, easy to use vacuum that gets the job done. I have a lit of allergies and it is hard lugging around a huge vac to clean small areas, multiple times a day; just like you mentioned. Great review 🙂

  2. I would love to own the Shark Rocket! It really looks like they clean the house very well. I want to get one of these because my vacuum is getting old, and I have always heard that these are really good.

  3. The Shark Rocket looks like a great vacuum and we really need a new vacuum our other one got lost in the move. Thank you for sharing this review.
