Product Review: Aero Knife

I recently had the opportunity to test the Aero Knife. I’m sure many of you have seen the infomercial for this product at some point. I was very impressed with this product; it’s lightweight and easy to handle. It cuts through things like hard and soft cheese with ease, which we all know can be difficult without the correct knife.  Most knives either break up the cheese or the cheese sticks to it and you spend most of the time prying the cheese off the side of the knife. Not the case with the Aero Knife. I also tried it on tomatoes; it cut them razor-thin, just like chef Ming Tsai demonstrates in the commercial.

The knife is laser-cut forged stainless steel and guaranteed to stay sharp for as long as you own it.  The package states it ‘never needs sharpening’. I will have to take their word for it as I haven’t owned it long enough to say if it will dull in time.

The manufacturer recommends that you hand wash and immediately dry this product after use to avoid prolonged exposure to acidic substances that could damage the blade. This knife is NOT recommended for cutting through bone, as it will damage the blade. It is also NOT recommended that you try sharpening your Aero Knife with a conventional knife sharpener; it will damage the Eternal Edge.

All in all, I give the Aero Knife an A+

One final tip: when cleaning the knife, use a small brush to clean vs. a wash cloth or sponge; it will do a better job getting into those serrated edges.
